Introduction
MP3 known as MPEG-I (Moving Picture Experts Group) layer 3. It is a standard format for storing compressed audio files. MP3 using MDCT and sub-band coding technology, MP3 can compress audio file into 1:12 compression. Uleadtek have used ASIC as decoder; DSP as MP3 encoder and decoder to compress or decompress audio file, it will take less power to operation.
Uleadtek have designed fully functional audio decoder to support all different kinds of audio files (MPEG-I layer 3, MPEG-II layer 3, AC-3, and WMA) and output quality which include (Mono, Stereo, and Surround Sound system).

Uleadtek 0.18um, 3.3V MP3 (Hardwire) Decoder "G3000A"

General Description:

The "G3000A" consists of MP3 decoder and interface for Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC). It is capable of receiving the stream data compressed by the encoder meeting the MPEG1 / LayerIII standard.

However, the parallel PCM data cannot be accessed directly by DAC, therefore, G3000A involves in the works in which the parallel data is transformed into the serial format accepted by DAC and the related DAC control signals are created. Fabricated by highly advanced 0.18um CMOS Process, it provides the advantages in power consumption and smaller die size over it's DSP-based counterparts.
